所有油性皮膚，有活躍暗瘡嘅人士都會有一種感覺：暗瘡是生物，有脾氣，會有周期，一兩塊薯片便可以令他們充滿生氣，攻打你的皮膚。此過程最糟糕的是，暗瘡彷彿有偏愛的同一位置，特別容易重複生長。
其實暗瘡永遠都是皮膚水油失衡的結果。首先皮脂形成黑頭白頭，再經細菌感染，形成白血球與厭氧細菌的戰爭區域。而這一戰爭區域在皮膚的皮層可深可淺，最後形成一個個的凹凸洞。
戰爭後的重建，首先是修復皮膚及穩定，令皮膚上的紅印（皮膚在重建組織時形成的血管網絡）首先退下。如果引起暗瘡的源頭並沒有解決，或者再使用分段式激光等破壞性激光強行清拆凹凸洞，最終會導致反效果，引起一波又一波的暗瘡及凹凸洞。
故此，面對反覆的暗瘡膚質，你唯一可以做的是安撫，從根本控制皮脂分泌，補充足夠水份，令皮膚回復平衡。第二，面部必須退紅，代表皮下血管網絡穩定。最後才用分段式激光逐一擊破凹凸洞。
