The study, carried out by the UN statistical office, says that in recent years the country's economy has stagnated, in part because of the crisis and in part because of Greece's government's austerity programme.
The report says that around a fifth of the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was lost because of the crisis, while a further one fifth was lost because of the austerity programme.
The UN says its work underlines that the Greek economy has shrunk over the last three years, while the standard of living of the average family has fallen.
It says that although the economy has returned to growth, the country's social problems have worsened and the level of inequality has increased.
This report came out at the same time as an opinion poll by Ipsos-Mori which showed Greeks had a positive view of the country 0b46394aab
